  • Positions patient on examination table & monitors patient's condition during examination

  • Controls & adjusts CT equipment to assure that images meet requirements
  • Maintains equipment & examination room

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience as a CT and Radiology Tech in a hospital
  • Valid CPR
  • ARRT advanced certification in CT required

PRIMARY PURPOSE

  • Responsible for direction of employees and processes for assigned area of Radiology.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Healthcare related field.

Experience:

  • Must have seven years of Radiology/Medical Imaging or comparable experience.
  • May have an equivalent combination of education and experience to substitute for both the education and the experience requirements.

Certification/Registration/Licensure:

  • Texas Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist preferred.
  • Must have Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) course certification for IS-700.A: National Incident Management System (NIMS) An Introduction by May 8, 2014 or obtain within 30 days of placement in role whichever date is greater.
  • Must have Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) course certification for IS-100.HCB: Introduction to the Incident Command System (ICS 100) for Healthcare/Hospitals by May 8, 2014 or obtain within 30 days of placement in role whichever date is greater.

  • Works in concert with Director to plan for redesign, future growth and expansion of Radiology Services. Serves as the project manager in assigned areas for all Radiology capital acquisitions.
  • Audits that supervisory personnel and employees appropriately bill patients, using the Radiology order process. Oversees coding and documentation to ensure completeness and appropriateness in regard to billing, compliance, and medical necessity. Responsible for communicating, implementing and monitoring ethical and acceptable behavior throughout the department
  • Responsible for coordinating data collection for various activities such as test volume, productivity, billable procedures and test utilization, in order to monitor productivity and ensure regulatory compliance.


Sonographer II – Radiology

  • Operates ultrasound equipment used to produce quality routine and fairly complex diagnostic scans to ensure optimal patient care.

Education:

  • Prefer successful graduation from an ultrasound program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (JRCDMS)

Experience:

  • Must have one year experience in specialty area.

Certification/Registration/Licensure:

  • Must be registered as a Sonographer by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical
  • Sonographers and registered in the subspecialty of abdomen –RDMS (AB) with current active status.
  • Must be registered in vascular technology (RVT) OR hold a registered vascular specialist (RVS) credential from Cardiovascular Credentialing International. Employees currently in the job on August 21, 2013 have until October 31, 2013 to obtain and maintain this credential.
  • Must have a current CPR course completion card prior to hire and/or placement in job.

Skills or Special Abilities:

  • Must have effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of both normal and abnormal anatomy.

  • Follows department protocols for image acquisition, labeling and documentation.
  • Maintains and performs intermediate troubleshooting of ultrasound equipment and informs supervisor as needed to ensure maximum availability of operable equipment. Ensures broken equipment is taken out of service.
  • Inspects, cleans, and prepares exam rooms after each patient to ensure the efficiency of patient flow within the area. Follows infection prevention practices and completes any logs or documentation as required.
  • Ensures the accuracy of all data entered into the patient record such as arrival, begin and end exam information. Completes other computerized data entry and charging tasks with correct data to ensure the accuracy of patient records and charges.
  • Identifies achievable initiatives to improve work processes and improve customer (internal as well as external) satisfaction. Formally makes recommendations to supervisor in writing with an implementation plan. Assists in implementing and monitoring as requested by department management. Monitors results as appropriate in support of the overall goals and mission of PHHS.
  • Stays abreast of the latest developments, advancements, and trends in Sonography by actively participating in professional organizations such as the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (SDMS), the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM) or the Society of Vascular Ultrasound (SVU).

  • Graduation from a JRCERT accredited school of Radiology Technology.

Imaging Lab Technologist

The Imaging Lab Technologist is responsible for producing high quality images of anatomy and function. This technologist must have a good rapport with referring physicians and radiologists. The technologist must show proficiency operating the Vital Images 3D workstation, and demonstrate an advanced understanding of all anatomy.

The 3D technologist is required to help improve and partake in the QC process. Their participation in increasing the quality/flow of our CTA/MRA program is required.

The technologist will also be responsible for opening/expanding the Imaging Lab program and improving workflows, required for an efficiently functioning Radiology department.

Qualified candidates must have:

Job Details: Performs various vascular ultrasound procedures that require independent judgement with ingenuity and initiative to provide reliable diagnostic information for physician interpretation. Must have a good knowledge of vascular anatomy. The vascular sonographer complies with standards of practice, helps maintain supplies and equipment, and collaborates with other healthcare team members in response to changes in technology and testing techniques. Knowledge of methods, techniques and operating principles involved in the operation of various ultrasound equipment required. Specifically responsible for performing carotid duplex studies, ankle brachial index studies, aorta iliac duplex, and endothelial function tests and related analytical tests. Performs both technical tasks and clerical functions. The staff sonographer will go to multiple physicians' offices and perform the Arterial Health Clinical Test Package. No weekends, nights, on-call, or holiday shifts. Reports directly to the senior vascular sonographer.

Equipment: Terason t3000, Endo-Pat2000

Requirements: MUST BE REGISTERED BY ARDMS (RVT) OR CCI (RVS). Graduate of an accredited sonography program. Competitive pay based on experience. Must have at least two years of clinical experience.

Currently, we are looking for a Vascular Tech for an acute care client in Berkeley, CA. This is a per diem opportunity starting in July to help cover for vacations etc. All work will be scheduled in advance. Typical working days are Monday-Friday (no nights or weekends).

Job requirements:

  • Experience in all aspects of Vascular Sonography. Specifically: experience scanning carotids, venous for upper and lower extremities, vein lapping, dialysis access scanning including volume flow, and venous reflux scanning of the lower extremities.
  • At least 2-5 years of inpatient and/or outpatient hospital environment
  • Experience working in a solo, fast-paced experience
  • BLS
  • ARDMS OR CCI in Vascular Sonography preferred

Currently, we are seeking an experienced Full-time MRI Technologist for our center in Columbia, SC.

The MRI/CT Technologist will be responsible for the integration of scientific knowledge and technical skills with effective patient interaction to provide quality patient care and useful diagnostic information. This responsibility includes completing scans effectively and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of patient care possible in order to provide the most remarkable patient experience.

Qualified candidates must have:

  • 2+ years of experience as an MRI Technologist; In addition, CT Technologist experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of MRI procedures and standards
  • Skill in operation of MRI equipment (GE MR and Siemens’ Espree Open)
  • Customer service background and focus
  • Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program, ARRT registered and MRI registry
