The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist will support the VAMC by providing top notch services in the following areas:

The Ultrasound Technologist will support the VA Radiology Services Department by providing top notch services in the following areas:

• Perform ultrasonography studies, record and process images from the Ultra Sound Unit

• Make exposures necessary for the required procedures.

• Take film/images for quality of images, positioning and appropriate ID.

• Perform routine examinations of chest, joints, extremities, cholangiography, barium enemas, Upper GI’s IVP’s and other complex examinations, under the technical or professional direction of a Radiologist when required during tour assigned.

Technologists are certified as Diagnostic Radiologic Technologists by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and must be certified for their specialty.

Technologists must be currently certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).

Two years’ experience in the operation of diagnostic radiology equipment under the direction of a Radiologist or other medical officer to produce radiographic studies/images used in medical diagnosis and treatment.

We invite you to come join our Grove Diagnostic Imaging Center’s team as a Nuclear Medicine & PET/CT Technologist. We currently have one full-time and one per-diem career opportunity. The full-time position has a Monday - Thursday 7:30AM - 4:00PM and Friday 6:00AM-2:30PM schedule, and the per-diem position has a Thursday and Saturday schedule in addition to helping with vacation/sick-time coverage as needed. Both positions are located at our multi-modality outpatient imaging practice in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. Our center uses a GE 16-slice Light Speed unit for PET/CT exams and an Adac unit for Nuclear Medicine exams, and provides a wide range of diagnostic imaging services to patients in a friendly and comfortable environment. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist-PET/CT you'll:

  • Perform high quality nuclear medicine exams and PET/CT exams on incoming patients.
  • Assure proper doses and radionuclides are ordered for each day.
  • Assay dose so that the radionuclide is correct and matches procedure.
  • Administer radionuclide in a safe and effective manner.
  • Administer contrast if needed, in a safe and effective manner.
  • Monitor patient's well being during exams; recognizes patient discomfort or medical problems and takes appropriate action.
  • Guide patients through this sometimes difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
  • Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.

ARRT(N) certification (or NMTCB certification), CA State License in nuclear medicine (ALL SCOPES DEFINED IN SECTION 30533, PLUS VENIPUNCTURE), CPR certification, at least 3-5+ years of recent nuclear medicine work experience, experience performing and documenting QC and ACR, and great communication skills are also a must!

You will become part of our Center for Clinical Excellence at Maricopa Medical Center located in sunny Phoenix, Arizona. As a CT Technologist you will work under the direction of a radiologist or supervisor. The CT Technologist performs computerized tomography procedures and a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgement to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. Data entry operations will be performed using appropriate hospital software package.

Additionally, you will provide specialized technical skills, critical thinking, problem solving, and medical knowledge including anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology. You will also correlate related patient data, apply physics principles in order to obtain optimal images for rendering a diagnosis.

IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL BE ABLE TO WORK ANY SHIFT AND COULD POTENTIALLY WORK UP TO 32 HOURS PER WEEK.

Qualifications:

  • Requires an Associate's Degree in Radiography and/or completed certificate program in Radiography.
  • Must have one to two (1-2) years medical imaging experience. Prefer two to three (2-3) years CT experience.
  • Requires RT(R) certification with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Must have or complete in one year of hire the ARRT (CT) certification in addition to the RT certification.
  • Current employees cross trained in CT must obtain CT certification within one year of their CT hire date.
  • Must be licensed by the Medical Radiography Board of Examiners (MRTBE) in Radiography (CRT) and Computed Tomography (CTCT).
  • Requires BLS. A BLS card obtained through an approved American Heart Association (AHA) training center is preferred and will be required within 3 months.
  • The staff member must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her unit.
  • The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in the unit's departmental policies and procedures.

The Cardiovascular Radiology Technologist produces radiographic images in the Cardiac Catheterization Labs and prepares equipment and supplies for procedures under the general supervision of the Manager of Cardiac Cath Laboratory.

Must be a graduate of an AMA approved school of radiology technology and hold a current certification from the Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety. Supervisor, Radiology / CT

Under the direction of the Radiology Department Director, you will coordinate operations and supervise staff assigned to Radiology CT and oversee administrative, fiscal and human resources management activities.

Requirements include Commission on Allied Health and Accreditation (AMA), or accredited ED program, plus 3 years’ experience. A Bachelor’s degree and 5 years’ experience preferred.

Licensure and certification requirements include:

• CPR Certification for Healthcare Providers or for Professional Rescuers or must obtain within 30 calendar days of date of position • Intermediate Life Support (ILS) Certification or obtain within 6 months of date of position • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist - CT Certification • NM Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Program Licensure (formerly RTC) • Prefer American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Quality Assurance Registry ARRT (QA) Leadership coverage to include 2 areas, 4 CT Scanners and approx. 15 CT Technologists. Five 8 hour shifts to include on-call, holidays and coverage as necessary to cover sick, vacation and vacancies.

As an Ultrasound Supervisor with HonorHealth, you will serve as a role model whose conduct supports the mission, vision, values, and critical goals of the organization. Under the supervision of the Director, the Supervisor oversees technical staff within Ultrasound. This position assists the director with essential department management functions and regulatory and accreditation activities in their area(s) of expertise. Management functions include, but are not limited to, participation in business management activities for their unit, customer service initiatives, direct patient care, and participation in process improvement and integration teams as needed.

The Ultrasound Supervisor is actively involved in the daily operation of the department and may be required to provide support for different campuses. You will participate in the cross-campus integration of the department.


Our Ultrasound Supervisors enjoy great variety in their work. Each day brings new challenges and rewards. You will perform a variety of technical MRI procedures that require independent judgment, including venous access. The Ultrasound Supervisor will assume responsibility for designated areas, and procedures as required, as well as, perform image quality assurance and data entry operation using appropriate hospital software packages.

REQUIRED EDUCATION

  • Completion of an ARDMS-accredited Ultrasound training program.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • 2 years clinical modality plus 2 years formal lead/supervisory experience

LICENSURE

  • Registered ARDMS and Basic Life Support (BLS) healthcare provider course
