The center currently utilizes GE logiq 9 equipment for ultrasound exams, and provides a wide range of diagnostic imaging services (MRI, CT, X-Ray, and Ultrasound) to the community. As a Sonographer you'll get to:

  • Perform a wide range of outpatient ultrasound exams, such as general ultrasound, OB/GYN, small parts, vascular, and other ultrasound exams on incoming patients.
  • Recognize and document abnormalities and anomalies.
  • Guide patients through this sometimes difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
  • Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patient procedures.
  • Participate in projects, tasks, and/or meetings as assigned by management.

Seeking a knowledgeable and professional candidate who is able to independently perform all outpatient ultrasound procedures with high quality results. The successful completion of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program, CPR certification, at least 1 year of ultrasound work experience (post externship), and ARDMS certification (or ARRT in Sonography) are also a must.

This care member assists the procedural cardiologist with all aspects of radiology procedures, as well as assisting in an aseptic manner with the intervention itself. The CCL Technologist works collaboratively with the CCL registered nurse, each within his/her own level of licensure. This position will also assist in the EP Lab.

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in Cardiac Catheterization Lab
  • Experience performing complex interventional procedures in CCL preferred

CT/X-Ray Technician

On Assignment Healthcare is currently looking for a CT /X-RayTech for a hospital client of ours in San Leandro, Ca.

This is a per diem position working weekends (sat/sun 3-11:30pm) and some weekdays as needed (pm or Night shifts). All shifts will be scheduled in advance.

Responsibilities include:

  • Explain procedures to patient, & is sensitive to patient's anxiety about procedure#
  • Reviews patient's medical history prior to performing CT procedure & confirms that patient has signed a contrast media consent form#
  • Positions patient on examination table & monitors patient's condition during examination#
  • Introduces intravenous contrast material as directed by radiologist#
  • Controls & adjusts CT equipment to assure that images meet requirements#
  • Maintains equipment & examination room, stores film, & keeps inventory of related supplies#
  • Prepares patient information files showing patient's na#e, date of CT examination, referring physician, & nature of examination#
  • Prepares & submits reports showing the number & type of examinations#
  • Performs other related duties as directed#

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Min of 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist in an acute care setting
  • Comfortable in working in a busy hospital setting that supports inpatients, and emergency.
  • Must be able to do X-Ray as well.
  • ARRT in CT, CRT, Fluoroscopy, Venipuncture and BLS required.

The PACS Assistant’s role is to monitor clinical data and provide user support for supporting the organization’s Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS). This includes preparing images for review and assuring the quality control of medical diagnostic images and files. This position requires a person be able to manage multiple tasks and activities on a daily basis. A solid clinical background is a minimum requirement of the job.

  • Manage the resolution of data entry issues of digital images from a variety of sources, including computed tomography, computed radiography, magnetic resonance imaging, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, etc.
  • Provide end-user level PACS support, including providing a liaison between the radiologist and the client facilities.
  • Ensure that digital image data transfers are properly entered into the PACS system, RIS validation, and exceptions handling.
  • Collaborate closely with the IT department to ensure the smooth operation of all PACS hardware and software.
  • Provide user training in regards to the proper use and operation of PACS equipment and software applications.
    • Respond to PACS related support calls and support end user problems and questions.
    • Document activities to keep the organization in compliance with all state and federal regulations.
    • Use Help Desk software to document, track, resolve, and follow up on problems.
  • Collaborate with IT department and client hospitals to ensure the efficient distribution of medical images to authorized users.
    • Maintain standards of confidentiality and system security.
    • Participate in training and professional development activities as assigned.

    Requirements -

  • HS Degree required
  • 1 Year of clerical or administrative experience in an imaging (radiology) environment or equivalent.

  • Manage personnel functions such as scheduling, payroll administration, evaluations, training and tracking development
  • Ensure all Technologists follow protocol for imaging and safety
  • Act as liaison with the clinically affiliated schools
  • Fulfill responsibilities for equipment meeting accreditation standards (ACR or appropriate agency) and Quality Control (QC) standards for the imaging equipment, daily, monthly and annual reporting
  • Assist in the interview process for Technologists and Patient Care Aides
  • Ensure preventive maintenance tasks (PMs) are scheduled and that peripheral systems are functioning according to standards
  • Inventory and order supplies and consumables, for the department
  • Directly supervise employees; carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
  • Interview, hire and train employees
  • Plan, assign and direct work
  • Appraise performance, reward and discipline employees, address complaints and resolve problems
  • Comply with the basic standards of professionalism and medical ethics; information regarding patients, doctors and co-workers must be treated as strictly confidential

Qualifications:

  • Fifth year college or university program certificate or 2-4 years related experience and/or training
  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, inventory and order processing systems/software
  • NYS license, Injection Qualified and ARRT certificate in Radiologic Technology
