We are currently looking for xperienced echo techs to work per diem for various hospital sites in the east bay.. In this role you will be responsible for both inpatient and outpatient scans. Looking for candidates who are available 1-2 days per week (Monday-Friday).

Qualifications:

** Min of 2 years experience

** Experience working in a hospital setting conducting both inpatient and outpatient studies.

**Experience with Adult Echo's, Stress Echo's, TEE's, Contrast Echo's and bubble studies.

**ARDMS (RDCS) certification required

The ideal candidate for this position will possess:

  • Experience in PET/CT working in a hospital environment or outpatient setting

Full time and part time positions available in CT /X-RayTech for various clients in the East Bay area!

Shift times may vary.

Responsibilities include:

  • Explain procedures to patient, & is sensitive to patient's anxiety about procedure.
  • Reviews patient's medical history prior to performing CT procedure & confirms that patient has signed a contrast media consent form.
  • Positions patient on examination table & monitors patient's condition during examination.
  • Introduces intravenous contrast material as directed by radiologist.
  • Controls & adjusts CT equipment to assure that images meet requirements.
  • Maintains equipment & examination room, stores film, & keeps inventory of related supplies.
  • Prepares patient information files showing patient's name, date of CT examination, referring physician, & nature of examination.
  • Prepares & submits reports showing the number & type of examinations.
  • Performs other related duties as directed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Min of 3 years of experience as a CT Technologist in an acute care setting
  • Comfortable in working in a busy hospital setting that supports inpatients, and emergency.
  • Must be able to do X-Ray as well.

ARRT in CT, CRT, Fluoroscopy, Venipuncture and BLS required.

  • Assisting the department Director with the day to day operational activities of the cardiology department
  • Overseeing employee participation in cardiovascular and pulmonary non-invasive procedures
  • Work with department director and Cardiologist to plan development of the department
  • Assist in managing staff to include Echocardiography technicians, EKG techs as well as administrative staff.
  • Assist the Director in the hiring, training, development and performance management of the department.
  • Coordinate staffing and evaluate skills of all staff.
  • Assist and supervise staff with performing exercise stress echocardiograms, pharmacologic stress echocardiograms, ABIs and segmental BPs. Assist with other procedures, such as downloading holter monitors, evaluating patients with pacemakers, doing EKGs, pulmonary function testing and as time allows.
  • Attend all department meetings

Job Requirements:

  • RDCS or CCI certification
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working as an Echo tech in an acute care environment.
  • 1 year or more is supervisory experience
  • Go getter attitude; willing to roll up sleeves and get work done!

Service Unit Department Manager RN – Invasive Procedures (Cath Lab, OR, IR)

In this role, you will manage the operations of a large unit or multiple units providing invasive procedures in the Cath Lab, Operating Room, or Interventional Radiology. You will ensure that the staff provides high quality, accessible, cost effective care and patient focused services to members across the continuum, which comply with local, state, and federal requirements. You will also develop and maintain clinical practice standards, budgets, and staff development.

Qualifications include:

  • At least five years of nursing experience in a management/leadership role
  • At least five years of supervisory experience
  • Three years of experience in an outpatient care setting preferred
  • Experience in management in interventional radiology preferred
  • Clinical experience in the cath lab, operating room, vascular, or interventional radiology preferred
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
  • A bachelor’s degree in nursing, a health related field, or four years of experience in a directly related field; a master’s degree is preferred
  • A current California RN license
  • BLS certification
  • PALS, PEARS, and/or ACLS certifications may be required for positions in specific departments
  • Knowledge of the Nurse Practice Act, The Joint Commission, and other local, state, and federal regulations
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • The ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment

  • Experience in all aspects of Vascular Sonography. Specifically: experience scanning carotids, venous for upper and lower extremities, vein lapping, dialysis access scanning including volume flow, and venous reflux scanning of the lower extremities.
  • At least 2-5 years of inpatient and/or outpatient hospital environment
  • Experience working in a solo, fast-paced experience
  • BLS
  • ARDMS OR CCI in Vascular Sonography preferred

Staff Vascular Sonographer

Company: Arterial Health of America, LLC and its subsidiaries (www.arterialhealth.net)

Seeking multiple full-time vascular sonographers around the southeast. Desire highly motivated, professional, efficient sonographers with compassionate patient care skills.

Job Details: Performs various vascular ultrasound procedures that require independent judgement with ingenuity and initiative to provide reliable diagnostic information for physician interpretation. Must have a good knowledge of vascular anatomy. The vascular sonographer complies with standards of practice, helps maintain supplies and equipment, and collaborates with other healthcare team members in response to changes in technology and testing techniques. Knowledge of methods, techniques and operating principles involved in the operation of various ultrasound equipment required. Specifically responsible for performing carotid duplex studies, ankle brachial index studies, aorta iliac duplex, and endothelial function tests and related analytical tests. Performs both technical tasks and clerical functions. The staff sonographer will go to multiple physicians' offices and perform the Arterial Health Clinical Test Package. No weekends, nights, on-call, or holiday shifts. Reports directly to the senior vascular sonographer.

Equipment: Terason t3000, Endo-Pat2000

Requirements: MUST BE REGISTERED BY ARDMS (RVT) OR CCI (RVS). Graduate of an accredited sonography program. Competitive pay based on experience. Must have at least two years of clinical experience.

With a 609-licensed-bed hospital, 1100 physicians and 4500 employees, MedStar Georgetown University Hospital is one of the largest healthcare delivery networks in the Washington, DC area. The incumbent in this position, under general supervision, will perform ultrasound and CT examinations in accordance with established protocols, as requested by referring physicians and as directed by the radiologists. Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, no nights or weekends.

Required Education/Training:

  • Must be ARRT-registered and have completed training in an approved ultrasound program.
  • A minimum of six months hands-on training is required.
  • RDMS-registered or registry-eligible.
  • This technologist must become CPR and may need to be IV-certified, depending on area of responsibility, and demonstrate competency in both areas.


Required Experience:

  • Applicants must have a minimum of two years of ultrasound experience and be trained in CT or be willing to train in CT. Preference will be given to applicants with US and CT experience.
  • Must be totally versed in transverse and cross-sectional anatomical and pathological presentations.
  • Must be familiar with and able to perform and/or learn the technical operations associated with CT.
  • Must be able to work under stressful and emergent situations.
