The Limited Radiology Technician and Medical Assistant is responsible for providing direct patient care in support of a provider in an ambulatory care setting under the direction and supervision of a licensed physician. Where you work matters! Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Part-Time Ultrasonographer to work Days in the Mammography Department at Swedish Edmonds in Edmonds, WA. The Ultrasonographer will independently perform breast examinations and other diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound on all patient age populations.

In this position you will:
* Perform Ultrasound examinations by producing appropriate images
* Use cognitive sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, diagnostic information and images
* Analyze sonograms, synthesize sonographic information and medical history, and communicate findings to the appropriate physician
* Assume responsibility for the safety, mental, and physical comfort of patients while in the sonographer's care

Required qualifications for this position include:
* High School diploma or equivalent
* Successful completion of Ultrasound training program
* Board registered/eligible with registered qualifications as indicated by the American Registry of Diagnostic Ultrasonographers (ARDMS). Must take and pass ARDMS registry within the first year of employment
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification

Preferred qualifications for this position include:
* Previous Ultrasound experience performing breast examinations
