MANAGER, DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING SERVICES

$8,569 - $11,698/month

We currently have a full-time opportunity available for a Manager of Diagnostic Imaging Services to direct the Radiology and Ultrasound Units at Natividad Medical Center. Responsibilities include planning, organizing and directing the operations and staff of the units, along with meeting quality assurance, safety and accreditation requirements.

Requires a CA Radiologic Technologist license (or temporary permit) and possession of a CA Radiologic Technologist Fluoroscopy permit. Must have thorough knowledge of current radiologic techniques, methods and apparatus; operation of and care for radiographic equipment; principles of PACS, CR and DR Imagery; basic hospital and nursing care procedures; and structural and organic anatomy. Strong management, communication, interpersonal, organizational and motivational skills are essential.

Limited License Radiology Tech - Medical Assistant

The Limited Radiology Technician and Medical Assistant is responsible for providing direct patient care in support of a provider in an ambulatory care setting under the direction and supervision of a licensed physician. This position performs x-ray procedures limited to the scope of certification applying prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis at technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. The Limited Radiology Technician and Medical Assistant may administer medications upon completion of medication administration course and specific authorization and supervision of a physician. Distribution of staff and patients may require reassignment to other nursing areas. Demonstrates the ability to meet the needs and provide service to all age groups-infancy through geriatrics.

  1. Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Graduate of an AMA approved radiology course. Graduate from an accredited Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program. Program or additional classwork regarding medication administration required.
  2. Licensure: California Limited Radiology Technician License required and a Medical Assistant Certification required. Current AHA certification or equivalent Healthcare Provider BLS in CPR.
  3. Experience: One year of experience in general radiology preferred. One year of experience in ambulatory care setting preferred. Previous experience with medication administration required.
  4. Skills: Demonstrated effective time management skills. Must demonstrate and maintain current knowledge and skill in providing ambulatory nursing care as appropriate for patients in the following age groups: Geriatric, Adult, Young Adult, Pediatric and Neonatal. Knowledge of medical terminology. Basic clerical and computer experience.

programs for Cardiac Cath Lab including contact with repair, vendor, and preventive maintenance personnel.

Consults with Biomedical Engineering prior to calling vendor service.

• Performs physiologic tests and measurements including cardiac outputs and oxygen saturation. Obtains reliable diagnostic data, monitors and documents patient's baseline EKG/cardiac pressures, and verbally reports any significant changes to the physician performing the procedure.

• Provides interactive and collaborative patient and family education.

• Transports patients to and from the cardiac lab. Assists in the moving of patients from gurney or bed to Cath Lab table.

PRN X-Ray Technologist

As the X-Ray Technologist, you will be responsible for utilizing your technical skills in operating radiological equipment to produce X-Rays of a patient’s body for diagnostic purposes. This responsibility includes completing scans effectively and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of patient care possible in order to provide the most remarkable patient experience.

Location: Florence, SC 29501

Employment Status: PRN

Typical Hours/Shift: Cover shifts as needed; Typically between 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Travel Expectations: On occasion, to cover shifts at Myrtle Beach center as needed

Qualified candidates must have:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Radiological Technologist
  • Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program, ARRT registered
  • Active State Certification
  • Completed required CEU’s in a timely manner to ensure Certification remains active
  • Must be willing to consider PRN employment to cover shifts on an as needed basis
  • Working knowledge of radiologic procedures and standards
  • Skill in operation of radiology equipment
  • Working knowledge of computers, software applications, technology and peripheral office equipment
  • Customer service background and focus

Ultrasonographer - Mammography, Swedish Edmonds (0.5FTE, Days)

Where you work matters! Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Part-Time Ultrasonographer to work Days in the Mammography Department at Swedish Edmonds in Edmonds, WA. The Ultrasonographer will independently perform breast examinations and other diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound on all patient age populations.

In this position you will:
* Perform Ultrasound examinations by producing appropriate images
* Use cognitive sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, diagnostic information and images
* Analyze sonograms, synthesize sonographic information and medical history, and communicate findings to the appropriate physician
* Assume responsibility for the safety, mental, and physical comfort of patients while in the sonographer's care

Required qualifications for this position include:
* High School diploma or equivalent
* Successful completion of Ultrasound training program
* Board registered/eligible with registered qualifications as indicated by the American Registry of Diagnostic Ultrasonographers (ARDMS). Must take and pass ARDMS registry within the first year of employment
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification

Preferred qualifications for this position include:
* Previous Ultrasound experience performing breast examinations
